Sarah’s dance career began in 2009 when, after watching way too many episodes of So You Think You Can Dance, she couldn’t stand NOT being a dancer. She began training and competing in classic 10-Dance Ballroom & Latin. After four years, she lost her partner to a move across the state, and went on a hunt for West Coast Swing - a dance that does not require a competitive partner. The rest is a long, arduous history of training and dancing and lots and lots of callouses. Her favorite thing about Wednesday nights is the freedom she has to explore movement with so many different people to such a variety of music. It also helps that after a long night of dancing, she will routinely treat herself to a nice plate of ‘choes (read: nachos).
